Who we are

Sessions on 15th is a craft cocktail venue operated by TWYG LLC, located at 406 15th Street, Oakland, CA 94612. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you book a reservation, visit our venue, or interact with our website at sessionson15th.com or reservations.sessionson15th.com.

What we collect

When you book a reservation, we collect:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Event details (date, time, guest count, type of event)
  • Any notes or special requests you choose to provide
  • Payment information, processed and stored by Square, never by us

We also receive limited technical information from your visit to our websites: browser type, device type, pages visited, and similar server-log data. We use this only to operate the site and improve the booking experience.

How we use it

We use the information you provide to:

  • Process your booking request and respond with availability
  • Send booking confirmations and receipts
  • Send payment links via email (and via SMS if you opted in)
  • Remind you about an upcoming reservation
  • Notify you of changes, cancellations, or refunds
  • Maintain records required for tax, accounting, and dispute resolution

We do not use your information for marketing or promotional purposes unless you have explicitly opted in.

Who we share it with

We share your information only with the service providers that help us deliver the booking experience you requested. These are:

  • Square for payment processing and receipt delivery
  • Google for calendar coordination of your reservation
  • Twilio for SMS delivery, only when you have opted in
  • Gmail / Google Workspace for transactional email delivery
  • Cloud infrastructure providers (Google Cloud) for hosting our booking system

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

We may disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order, regulatory request) or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our customers, our staff, or our business.

Text messaging

When you opt in to receive text messages from Sessions on 15th by checking the SMS consent box at the time of booking, we use your phone number to send transactional messages related to your reservation: payment links, balance reminders, event reminders, and cancellation notices. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.

Sessions on 15th does not share or sell mobile phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, or text messaging originator consent with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information may be shared only with service providers that assist in delivering our messaging (Twilio for SMS delivery, Square for payment link delivery), strictly for the purpose of providing the booking-related service you have requested.

The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Opt-in cannot be transferred or sold.

Message and data rates may apply. Frequency varies based on your reservation status. For help, reply HELP to any message or email hello@sessionson15th.com.

How we protect it

We store your information in encrypted databases hosted on Google Cloud infrastructure. Payment card information is tokenized by Square and never stored on our servers. Access to customer records is limited to the venue owner and authorized staff using authenticated sessions.

No internet transmission is fully secure. We use industry-standard safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.

How long we keep it

We retain booking records for at least seven years after the event date to comply with tax and accounting requirements. Audit logs are retained per our compliance policy. You can request deletion of inactive records by contacting us, subject to legal retention obligations.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information, subject to legal retention
  • Opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP to any message we send
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell or share for marketing purposes, but California residents may confirm this at any time)

Cookies and tracking

Our booking site uses minimal cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and remember your preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the reservations site. The marketing site at sessionson15th.com uses additional analytics cookies; details are available in the consent banner on that site.

Children

Sessions on 15th is a 21-and-over venue. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe we have collected information from a minor, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of our booking service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
